The People Who Bring the Mission to Life

Nereida Martinez

Board Treasurer

Nereida Martinez serves as an Administrative Assistant in a local Public School District, where she is dedicated to supporting students, staff, and the broader school community. Prior to her current role, she proudly served the City of Bridgeton for 20 years, gaining extensive experience in public service and community engagement. In addition to her professional career, Nereida earned a Certificate in Advanced Biblical Studies, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and spiritual growth. Her faith and values inspire her passion for helping others and serving with integrity, compassion, and respect. Nereida believes that meaningful leadership begins with listening, serving others, and building strong relationships that strengthen the community.

Mrs. Marian King

Marian D. King, M.A., CISSP, serves as a Councilwoman for the City of Bridgeton, where she works to represent residents, address community concerns, support responsible decision-making, and advocate for initiatives that strengthen the quality of life for local families. Her public service is grounded in accessibility, accountability, and a sincere commitment to ensuring that community members have a voice in the decisions that affect them. Marian has a special heart for young people and believes that education, mentorship, encouragement, and access to opportunity can change the direction of a life. As a former school board member, educator, and community leader, she has consistently supported efforts that help children and young adults build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and recognize their potential. She is especially passionate about creating pathways for young people who may not always have access to the resources, guidance, or support they need to succeed. A longtime advocate for underserved individuals and families, Marian has dedicated much of her civic and professional life to helping others overcome barriers and connect with meaningful opportunities. She brings compassion, practical problem-solving, and a strong sense of responsibility to her service with the ALMS Center. As a board member, she is committed to advancing the Center’s mission, supporting effective programs, strengthening community partnerships, and helping ensure that its services continue to reach those who need them most. Professionally, Marian is an accomplished cybersecurity, technology risk, compliance, and artificial intelligence education professional with more than 15 years of experience across healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, and small-business environments. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and the distinguished CISSP certification. Her experience includes work with organizations such as JPMorgan Chase, Comcast, TD Bank, AmeriHealth Caritas, AtlantiCare, Inspira Health, and Citigroup. Through Eye IT Solutions and her educational initiatives, Marian uses her technical knowledge, leadership experience, and teaching ability to make complex subjects understandable and help individuals and organizations move forward with confidence.
